Jaded

Had a rough day at work yesterday... Long story... So i wouldn't want to bore anyone with the details. Its kinda sad, the thought of leaving BBR... I am gonna miss the place and the people. But if the curriculum in my upcoming second year allows, i will still try to work during weekends... It will be great if i could earn some extra cash for myself. :> The day ended in a blast though! Went to china jump with my colleagues after work, we partied,drank and went for supper at one of the Kopitiams after china jump closed... This is one of the things i am gonna miss... Just simply having fun... Thanks to ppl working in BBR.

Some of my friends are asking if i am going to celebrate my 20th birthday... To tell the truth, i have no idea... I doubt i'll have any time anyway... Since i have school and dance rehearsals back to back... Oh well, i will just wait till the time comes and decide then.

I was out with cyn shopping for hui's present when i realized that i have spent away all the money i have earned for this past month or so... To be exact, i spent nearly up to 1300 bucks in this 2 & a half months... Although i spent nearly three fifth of the 1.3k on my driving lessons, test and my licence, as well as my well-worth ipod mini. I still feel damn guilty... because i kinda "squander" the remaining sum of money on clothes, food, drinks, treats and worse of all TAXI FARE!!!

Irregardless of my strong desire to shop for more clothings and shoes during this period of sales... The great singapore sales has ended in my point of view... I mark today as the start of my cold turkey phase... No shopping (no purchasing, i am still allowed to window shop), no clubbing, no cabs, nothing! It sucks but i have to go through it. Gonna save up my last paycheck and i swear i will not spend it unless i have to buy books for my new semester.

I think i need my mum to help take care of the money i have... and i really need to start taking note of the amount of money i spend... Argh, its times like this when this question always comes to my mind, "Why am i not rich?"

THANK YOU HUI!!! For giving me the ultimate surprise! She bought me the pair of gorgeous Gucci shades that i wanted so badly but just couldn't bear to buy it since it is too expensive... At first when she mentioned to me during practice that she bought me a huge candy, i believed her words that it i was getting a candy . At the end of the practice, she pulled cyn and i to the changing room in the dance studio. She gave 2 of us a package each. I screamed my lungs out when i saw the "candy" that she have bought for me. Will upload some pictures of that pair of shades soon. Oh, she bought cyn this gorgeous pair of pumps from Miu Miu!!! Cyn looks damn good in that pair of pumps and her mini skirt!!!

We went for lunch @ sushi tei in paragon after the rehearsals! I promised the girls and glen that i will give them a treat if i passed my driving test. We ate a lot of delicious stuff! I ate a lobster don! cyn had her first experience with raw salmon and tuna! 4 of us were having so much fun! Laughing so much that i actually cried... we were coming up with our list of world weirdest couple! The one that cracked us up was Gwen Stefani & Pavarroti... haha. Still cracks me up now... :>

Anyway, to my girls! Thank you for being such great friends! As what i said yesterday while we were in sushi tei. I can have so much fun only when i am with u gals! :> Love you all!!!

Ladies & Gentleman! I have good news at hand... "I passed my driving test, I passed my driving test..." After all this drama that has occurred around me, passing my driving test is like top of the paste... haha. Although i have this feeling that my dad is not going to let me have the car immediately... I am considered on probation by both the LTA and my dad... Keeping my fingers crossed! :>

Last sunday was one of the most exciting and fun day i have had in a long time... Since BBR's beloved manager, ulf, is leaving for the carribeans (he got a job there), our headwaiter, nic is leaving BBR to LBSH and some other colleagues was promoted. A celebration cum farewell party is in order! So we had a splendid buffet dinner @ Ritz at the start of the night... The Ritz is a gorgeous hotel, very different from raffles. The architecture is fabulous, very classy and modern. I fell in love with their lobby the moment i stepped foot on it.The service there is immaculate... Although the food was just good. Great fun there, taking all the pictures, complements of our dear photographer of the day, Miss Rachel Ou. :> Most of the pictures i have posted are taken by her and her lovely camera.

Following dinner was partying @ ChinaJump!!! This is my first visit there! One actually have to be at least 25 to gain entry into the place but since dear Ulf & Nic knows the manager of the club, I get to go in!!! Great place, fantastic live band and R&B music. Drank a little, Mr Ulf kept on pouring vodka into my glass, thank god for Tess (our new intern from Cornell Uni, USA). She helped rachel & i on our drinks... :> I danced a lot... Met Pierre, our new BBR manager, Chef, i dunno what's his name and Andre, all from raffles hotel. Fantastic night! Its been a long time since i had such fun... :> Biggest thanks to Ulf & Nic for organising this get together!

And i have to agree with rachel... Our dear new headwaiter, Mr Karnan, is quite a dancer... :> It could be the alcohol... haha

Apologies for not blogging on a regular basis... Work and dance have taken up most of my time... Work is still pretty interesting, starting to have a change of management. My current manager is leaving and a new manager is coming to BBR... The new manager is pretty hot... I am not gushing over him or whatsoever... Just stating a fact. I mean, he is 25, gorgeous looking and he is french... Although i did hear from others that he is pretty picky when it comes to work, resulting in the dismay or should i say displeasure of others. I'll just have to observe and see for myself...
I have been placed at the hostess stand @ BBR twice now... I kinda like being a hostess... It is kinda fun... haha. I have to admit, it is not as tiring as being stationed as a server...

Just received a mail from my course manager... Overall mentioning to us the things we are going to do in our second year of studies... Its kinda a wake up call for me, reminding me to hasten on my revision. Its exciting to think of what's to come but i am afraid that i can't cope or catch up with the curriculum... I am still gonna try my best!!! :>

Just bought my ipod mini!!! I bought the spunky green one. I bring it everywhere i go now... Can't live without it... haha

On the serious note, i do have a lot of personal issues that i need to settle... Although part of me have this "who cares..." attitude, it seems best that i face it and settle it once and for all... As it is too personal... I don't feel comfortable enclosing it in my entry... But my close friends should know what i am talking about... :>

My Road Driving Test is happening next week, wed, 15/6... I am petrified... But i am going to do my best... :> Wish me Luck!!!

I have been going for dance rehearsals for about 3 days in a row... It feels really good to be dancing again... The items that we are displaying will be very different from our previous year. At least i can say so for the alumni. :> Its challenging... especially glen's item... but its my favourite among all 3 items. It made me feel all grown up when i am dancing... It made me feel emotions that i rarely feel. Difficult to emote, especially through the steps but if one can, the item will be beautiful.

Dewi's item is very soft and graceful... Hui's item simply shouts "Girl Power and independence!" I love all three items!!! Can't wait to perform it on stage. My friends who are reading this entry, the concert is on 22nd, fri, & 23rd, sat, july @ kallang theatre! tixs is sold @ 12 bucks. :> So if u guys wants to come, call or sms me, i'll get u guys tixs! u have to pay of course... haha
