Jaded

Tech class was tough yesterday as usual but i think i'm getting slightly better at catching up with the choreography. I'm still slow at catching the minute details and feel of the choreography most of the time and that naturally made me feel a little inferior to those powerhouse in DE, especially when i see them picking everything up so easily.

The highlight of the day however was watching Sacred Monster featuring Sylvie Guillem & Akram Khan @ The Esplanade Theatre with Hui. The 60 minutes of performance was intense, humourous and literally breathtaking... The intricacy of the choreography and the projection that the dancers exuberate throughout the performance was amazing. I was up in the balcony with Hui watching and i could feel the connection between Slyvie Guillem & Akram Khan during their pas de deux. Needless to say, the performance received a standing ovation from the audience and naturally, Hui and I were cheering and grinning for a long time after the performance. I doubt any performance i watch in the near future is going to top that, well at least not anytime soon.
